How to Find a Home Kitchen Near You

Using the My Home Kitchens directory.

Start with three things: where you are, what you feel like eating, and when you want it.

1. Search by location

Enter a city, neighborhood, or ZIP code. Listings show the kitchen’s city and ZIP code only — not the street address. Home kitchens are private homes, so the full address is shared with you when you place a pickup order.

2. Narrow by food

Filter by cuisine or search for a dish. Cuisine, menu, and specialty information in a listing comes from the cook, not from us guessing.

3. Check availability and service

  • Which days does the kitchen operate?

  • Is advance ordering required?

  • Does the cook offer pickup, dining at their home, or delivery?

  • How does the cook want you to order?

4. Get to know the cook

When a cook has claimed their listing, you will see their story, menu, photos, service schedule, and ordering instructions. Unclaimed listings show only basic public information.

5. Check official information when you want it

Each listing shows County inspection information separately from what the cook wrote, and the date we last checked. Are Home Kitchens Inspected? How to Check explains how to look a kitchen up on the County’s own site.

What a listing shows

  • Kitchen or business name.

  • City and ZIP code.

  • Cuisine and menu, as supplied by the cook.

  • Service days, service options, and how to order.

  • Cook story and photos, when the listing is claimed.

  • County inspection information, clearly separated from the cook’s own content, with the date we last checked.

Try a nearby ZIP code, widen the cuisine, or check another day. There are about 145 permitted home kitchens in San Diego County (County list, September 2026), and new ones open regularly. If you tell us what you were looking for, it helps us know where to focus.

Search → compare → understand → connect.
